Good news, thanks - strangely, not too many people have realised the extent of the damage to the approaches to the bridge or that it might affect them. Imagine their surprise when they got there and it didn't connect to anything.

Thank-you for that information much appreciated .
We will be in that vicinity early in July.

Yes I did see the pics of the bridge without approaches and thought it would be a long time before it was fixed. It is good to her that Qld. has got onto the job Quickly or whoever the shire is. Congratulations.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

This great news i just wish all the road depts. would get together and get decent road reports out. There's travellers still crossing the Cooper and road reports make the Nappa bridge impassable. Sending the local supply truck chasing his tail and it's a long way to chase your tail. Locals who can't take the road being cut for 5 mins are making things worse with false reports. Someone will end up hurt or washed of a road. It's a pity about the Cooper ferry not taking caravans.

Thanks Johno,

We were just looking today at a plan B if it was still closed in 2 1/2 weeks time. Heading up through Warri Gate to Hadden's Corner and on to Birdsville before hitting the Plenty Hwy and thence to Davenport NP and further North.
