Hi all, I have been looking at an awning with walls for the troopy.
Have come across Polaris Innovations out of Brisbane and have had email contact re what I want. The owner, Ross, is so helpful with ideas and even reply's to my emails after hours. I am in WA and he is in Qld but I will be placing an order with them due to the fact that they have come up with what I want and it is an Australian product at a competitive price. No affiliation etc etc

Regards

Mark

I have a Polaris awning which I bought second hand. Had a problem with one of the pivots for the space pole. Called Ross and he said bring it over (he's not too far out of my way) and I'll have a look. Seems mine was the "old" style with a plastic hinge that he's stopped using. They're now aluminium.

No worries. He took off the old hinges and fitted new ones, free of charge and after hours. Top service from a top bloke.

Awning is very good too.

I also have a Polaris awning and have had no troubles apart from it being heavy to deal with for 1 person - it's a 3 x 2.5m awning. Very happy overall.
I've got the plastic hinges so I'm going to keep an eye on them now...

Can only echo the other positive replies, I have had mine since early 2008 before my Cape York trip, mines 3mts long x 2mts out and is great for overnight camps with camp stretcher and swag or abutting to my RV-2 Oz Tent instead of its awning. Ross is very easy to deal with and willing to help you.
Cheers

I've had my Polaris for about 3 years. Good quality, easy one person operation and great guy to deal with.
