I know that only the HTC snap is bluetick but was wondering if anyone is traveling with a HTC phone and finding reception good.
I'm seriously in love with the HTC HD2 but worry that I'm kidding myself in terms of coverage. Also the HTC desire but I think I've read this is crappy for coverage.
We will be traveling through NT and WA which I know is mostly out of range as it is.
Anyone able to tell me what a HTC phone is like rural?

I have a HTC Snap for work and am pretty happy with it's reception in rural areas. I also carry a blue ticked Nokia and find it has similar coverage to the HTC Snap.
SWMBO has also upgraded her phone to a HTC Snap.
HTH
Cheers Kev

Hi Missy,
Late response to your question and hope not too late however. I have a HD2, absolutely sensational phone and very satisfied with it's features and useability. To answer your question however I find reception to be lacking in regional Queensland at least. I travel frequently through the
Bowen Basin region and reception is hit and miss. My colleague who often travels with me has an IPhone and experiences better reception than my HD2 sadly.
Hope this helps.

I had an HTC Touch and loved the interface and the way it went against my wife's Nokia N95. BUUUT, then in South Australia two months after the warranty expired I had to send it off for repair. It had a new board in the phone so worked for another two months just after the warranty ran out. Just one year into a two year contract.
I was told by the repairers it would cost me more than a new phone to repair so I find the Nokia E71 I have now more reliable. I am steering away from HTC phones and not very happy with the Business Account manager at Telstra.
