Hi,
Can we expect a drop down of the temperature on the Gunbarrel in January? We hire the car from
Perth and have to return it in Alice so we want to travel the Gunbarrel. I know at daytime its hot but this year we want to make the Gunbarrel.
bye wolfgang

Night temperatures between 25 and 35 C. Day temperatures between 30 and 50 C.
Ground temperatures by day between 30 and 75 C. Personally I think that you are nuts driving that track in the middle of summer. But because you NEED to, make sure that you carry a lot of water with you...at least 80 litres so that if you break down you may survive for a while. You will need an
HF radio or a Satelite phone for communications. Between
Carnegie Station and
Warburton Township you are not likely to meet any other humans out there in January.
Cheers,
Willie

so if you want to expierince the same extreams come live here for a year and you even have to leave the safety for your cabin or flat or house
