Which is the best
camping area in the Bungles? We note there are two, we will be in tents with 3 children under the age of 5??? Any comments (Other than we are nuts for camping with
young kids!! ;>)

Hi Tracey
We camped one night in each. First night at
Kurrajong to be close to the northen end walks which we did in the afternoon and next morning to avoid the heat of the middle of the day. The second night was at Walardi to do the southern walks. The nights can get quite cold so take warm clothes and bedding for overnight. Both campgrounds were lovely, and we spent an afternoon bird spotting at Walardi.

The souther end of the park is where you really see the Bungle bungles as you do in most pics
although the northern end has some great walks through interesting features
the track between them takes a fair while to drive as it is quite rough so if you have the time a night at each would be best
only the northern
campground was open when i was there

We found the northern site much better. The generator
camp ground actually had only two campers including us and the non generator site had dozens.
