Kingfisher Camp (Bowthorn Station)

We are heading up into the Gulf Savannah in a couple of weeks and was planning to visit Kingfisher Camp.. Are your still able to stay there?

Cheers, The Landy

Yes - www.kingfisherresort.com.au/

We stayed there a couple of years back - it was a good camp area with toilets and hot showers. Nice people running it too. They sold a few bits and pieces as well. It's well worth the drive to Hedleys Gorge as well. They will give you a key and a map for a small fee.

Cheers

Give them a ring the whole station was badly damaged by Cyclone Paul and I am not sure when or if they will be open this year

Just rang Kingfisher and spoke to Janelle. They hope to be open again in early July. It's dry up there, they are just waiting on road repairs to be done.

G`day ,
We were there last winter, a very nice spot, water available and a designated area for campers with generators.
The road in was a bit rough but there were plenty of the Off-Road type of vans and Camper Trailers there.
Take it slow is the go.

Enjoy,

Scrubby.
