Can anyone tell me where I can find a list of road side camps? We are heading from Brisbane to Alice Springs.

The spiral bound version of Camps Australia Wide 5 includes 'camp snaps' which are very informative. It is somewhat large being A3 in size but is more than compensated for by the info contained within and the publication generally is known amongst caravaners as the travelers bible. Available over the web or from most caravan parts suppliers etc. You can also order through your local camping store as I have done on one occasion.

Hi Mark & Jacqui,

Also on the net there is www.ozcamps.net which has information and some have pictures of various camp site around Oz. It is a site that if you find a camp site you can put it up so others can use it.
Enjoy the trip.
Cheers

You can purchase Camps Australia Wide here at the ExplorOz shop, and for NT (and WA) the Jan Holland series is more comprehensive than Camps 5. Check out the 'shop'.

As everyone else here says, The Camps Australia Wide 5 is excellent!! We couldn't do without it! And you can add any updates to it from the Internet when any changes occur to the campsites. :)

Others have suggested the obvious but seems you are on this website you may not be aware this site lists them too. Under the blue "places" tab at the top of the page is a whole heap of good suggestions, just filter them out according to preferences and Bob's your uncle.

Happy searching.

Trevor.
