I have been told that Cape York will be closing in October this year and will only be opened to tours, is this so?

More info please. Who told you? Where did they get the info from? What excatly is supposedly being closed?
They can't just close all of Cape York.

Im with Mark - Check below link - they look after the roads & do the opening and closing unless its the PDR - Then it will be Main Roads

I am amazed at what people believe, and equally amazed at the misinformation on Cape York in the rumour mills
Do you reckon "they" will also close an area say northern NSW?
