Need the 140,000 service done on the Cruiser. Also going to do the timing belt.
Can someone suggest a good place other than Toyota.
TIA

hi graham
i got fed up with trying to find a decent mechanic in coffs to the extent i decided to buy a workshop manual and do it myself. lol
however my warranty book needs a stamp on it every 10,000kms.
i use speedylube in park avenue, they are a little pricey (better than toyota tho) but they are thorough. they have been around for ages and are always busy.
I have had a lot of bad experiences with some other mechanics around town, such as getting a full service done only to find the oil filter was not replaced, or another time when i asked what my brakes were like and the apprentice telling me my pads on the front were fine and the drums on the back were ok and then arguing with me when i told him it had discs on the back. and a few other bad experiences that a lost confidence in mechanics and parting with my hard earned money for sub-standard work.
they have a website too-
check em out!
