I am considering visiting Sundown NP in a few weeks. Can anyone give me an uipdate on track conditions from
Ballandean into Burrow's
Waterhole? What is the camping like?
Thanks.

We went there with a group the weekend before last. The track from
Ballandean to Burrows is long and rocky but can be done mostly in high range in good weather. You'll want to let your tyres down as soon as you enter the park gates (rocks, rocks, more rocks). There are park maps at the gates (along with the camping tags) but there are many many many tracks within the park that are not on the map provided.
Burrow's
Waterhole was nice camping. The site is large with room for large groups or more private sites. There are a few pit
toilets (these were in quite good condition) and the grass is mown. The entry to the
campground is steeper and has some dips and holes that require a change to low range. There are existing fireplaces and plenty of shade.
We had a look at Reedy
Waterhole campground too. It was much smaller and very rocky- not a good place to set up a tent.
The
Red Rock Gorge lookout is spectacular- be sure to stop by!

Take your Cod lures and a couple of spinner baits as the Cod are on the chew. Rats castle is worth a look and don't miss
Red Rock Gorge
