Wilkie
Quickest way would be to lift your air cleaner off look in and watch the lower butterfly valves and rev it up till both open the primary will open 1st and as the revs increase - over 3000 rpm or so the secondary will open

When checking make sure you open the throttle fully for an instant as the second throat may be opening at higher revs I think there is a mechanical as well as a vacuum trigger for the second barrell.
If it opens too soon - too thirsty
If not working at all it may have been disabled and youd get about 13 lit\100 km most of the time.

If in doubt and 2nd barrell not working at all

Overhaul the carbie - probably due.

How many Ks? How is it running? How much fuel does it use??
Need to look at this closely before pulling it apart.
