Has anyone had experience dealing with "Engel Fridge Shop"? Their website has no contact details and I can't get any response from their Email address.

Try going through the buying process and see where it leads.
Can often get some details before actually having to pay.

Sounds like a good reason to stay away.
They don't appear to be listed in
www.abr.business.gov.au

Rob, not all businesses are listed, it depends on the structure and how their trading name is associated to them.
That web site is only to do with GST, the best web site is the ASIC Name Search.
We run businesses under different trading or market names that don't appear on the ABR site but we still registered and pay GST for those businesses.

Correct, but the ASIC website comes up with nothing either.
Any internet company that doesn't give a physical address should be approached with caution. A company that doesn't have any contact details other then an email should be avoided.
My guess is that they're not showing their address because it's in Nigeria.

Not neccessarily. That's the address for the RV
shop.
If I was a crim wanting to raise money to set up a drug distribution bussiness I would:
1. Copy a legitimate business' web page.
2. Work from another country
3. Have only an email adress on the website.
4. Collect credit card details
5. Never send any products
6. Charge money to the credit cards.
7. On-sell the credit card details

I just rang them and explained that they are getting unfavourable comments due to the lack of contact details.
The Engel Fridge
Shop and the others spoken about in the thread are a Division/s of Maytow Caravans.

Good chance of another alias of the RVSHOP .com.au (uses exactly the same prices/menus/colours etc). There is also the waecofridgeshop site exactly the same design
BAD business ethics not to have contact details, and i wouldn't be placing my credit card details on a site that hides its contact details.

mmmm.......very strange that they dont have a "contact us"
Also noticed that they dont have the padlock symbol in the bottom corner when filling in details
so I checked the "cheque or money order" symbol and filled in details including phone number etc etc...clicked "send order"...and nothing happened
wonder if they ring?

"Also noticed that they dont have the padlock symbol in the bottom corner when filling in details "
Probably because it was at the top of your browser LOL (it is in IE8) No obvious problems with security per se as it is sourced via a secure site (https).
