Hi Folks,
NSW RTA is showing the eastern side closed. Has anyone been along the western side lately? We are hoping to be down that road next Tuesday. Is the western side going to cause any problems? We will be in a Pajero with CT in tow.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Jon,
We went down the western side the last week in April and it was terrific. Smooth graded and very pleasant driving. We towed a 16 foot Coromal, friends towed a CT, and another couple in a Mitsubishi Lancer. Don't know whether they have had rain out there since we were there.
Cheers
Sally

You could try this site :
CENTRAL DARLING SHIRE COUNCIL
or

Those sites only advise that the eastern side is closed. No info is provided on the quality of the western side.

Check our response to post 78817 out, we were out there in May 10 and travelled from
Menindee to
Wilcannia on the western side. I thought the road was OK but SWMBO has a different opinion.
Regards
Paul

Thanks to all of the above.
Sounds like it should not be a drama.
Looking forward to seeing some water in
Lake Menindee.
