Prado Tyre Recommendation

G'day Guys,

After months of research, we finally fitted a set of Kuhmo KL51 265/65 R17 Highway Terrain tyes through Bob Jane in Fountain Gate, Vic. The guys really looked after us, and the tyres were at a fantastic sale price until the end of June.

We were heading down the D694 / Scorpion ATR route, just in case we ever head off road in the future, however the Kuhmo's were way to cheap to pass up. Trawled through the forums and could not find much wrong with the Kuhmo's.

First impressions are really good. Will let you know how we go.

Take Care,

Jezz.

Hi, did Bob Jane give you any idea how many Ks you are likley to get out of the Kuhmo's, and how do they stack up on price against the Coopers and Bridgestones? i need to put a set on my Prado soon. mine are 265/17s

G'day Brenton,

I believe they have a 600 wear rating which I am lead to believe means they are pretty good ??? Could not find anything specific in the research I did, but I could not find any major complaints about premature wear.

Please note, these are HT's. Gave them a run in the wet, and very impressed with their performance.

Just watch fitting non-standard size tyres. I do not know the insurance, or legal implications in SA.

Cheers,

Jezz.
