The antenna on our Paramount van has become hard to turn. Can anyone give me a few clues on servicing it ? The is a placard that says to lubricate every 6 mths but no instructions.

Get some of this, using the little plastic tube that comes with it, spay some around the moving parts. it's also good for car windows that are stiff to wind up, spay it on the guides up the door frame .

You did not say if your van was off road. If it is, use selleys "ezi glide" instead as it does not leave a residue. A residue will attract dust if heading off road.

There is a little rubber grommet on the base. remove it and spay the lubricant into the hole as well as other moving bits. Will have never worked better once you do that.

Yep - regular lubrication is required (every 6 months or so I think) according to the manufacturer - my new one came with detailed instruction AND a little sachet of special lubricant ! (but many other types of lube should do, as mentioned above). You should be able to get the instructions off their site.
