Box Hole Meteorite Crater

Just North of the Plenty Hwy, are you still able to access it and can you bush camp there?

Regards,

Mike.

Mike, we tried to contact the station manager there who is actually resident on another station in the area. There are a number of stations under the umbrella management.

We were unable to and didn't feel we should go driving in and around station homesteads without permission. We understood we should have been able to get him on the UHF. He wasn't answering our call so we didn't get to go there unfortunately. One of my pictures is taken only a couple of kms away from Box Hole Crater, near the creek.

Thanks John,

I guess we will just need to play it by ear and see what the situation is at the time. Do hope We can get to see it though.

What is the gentlemans name and what UHF channel do you need to call him on?

I'm wanting to take my family there next week on the way to the Rock but was unaware that it was on private property.
