We've just fitted a Tekonsha P3 to our LC 100 series. We cut a hole in the ashtray and slid it in there (after seeing pictures of someone doing same in a Prado - found pic on internet via google). Fits really nice and looks very smick! As well as being in easy reach and away from kneebones!

(We also got another ashtray from the wreckers, so when its time to sell the vehicle, we take out the Tekonsha and its cut-out ashtray, and put back the good ashtray.)

From our research I think the model update on Tekonsha's goes 1) Voyager then the 2) Prodigy and the lastest 3) is now the P3 - but dont quote me, I could be wrong. We chose the P3 because it has more visual data/info on the screen - but I think performance is same on both units.

We are really happy with the unit. It handles our 2500kg van beautifully and we are first time towers. Have towed on 5 occasions now - each for 2-3 hour stints - up and down the Great Dividing Range. We think it's great and would recommend it no probs.

Also forgot to mention....we bought our Tekonsha from CaravansPlus.com.au online store (I think they are in Queanbeyan NSW). They were 1/3rd the price our auto mechanic could buy them trade. He was stunned at the price, and went and bought 3 or 4 to re-sell in his shop.
