Hello
We have recently upgraded from a Jayco Swan to a full van and I am at a loss as to what people put their crockery and glasses etc in when you go off road. In our previous van, I used the drawers to store everything as they were not able to roll around but the new van doesn't have enough drawers - only overhead cupboards. Can anyone suggest anything other than putting them all in plastic containers? At this point, this in the only solution that I have come up with. Thanks

Hi, I have lined all our cupboards with a non-slip rubber type matting to stop things sliding around and for glasses/mugs we have put expandable foam netting over them to prevent breakages. My MIL got them off some pears that she bought, you can also get them off alcohol bottles - might need to do some eating & drinking to stock up - LOL! Cheers Rachael

Like Scoots, we use non slip matting in all the cupboards, but also put a layer in between each plate or bowl. They never move!
For glasses, there are various methods, but we use those wire holders that screw on to the inside of the cupboard. The glasses simply slide into them. See the Camec catalogue/Accessories - page 7 (

Cheers

well.

G/Day
The
Cook just puts Tea Towels between them, that protect them, we only carry the minimum amount of crockery, there are only two of us, she allows for any breakages ect, and as mentioned use the non slip matting, the type of caravan
suspension helps as
well. and just make sure the cupboards are closed properly before starting off, we have been over a lot of rough stuff with very little dramas.
Cheers

Yep - tea towels - cloths misc. and bubblewrap etc. Melamine dinner sets and minimal crockery is the key - we still want to drink from glass though and they travel inside stubby holders. Cookware travels inside cloth shopping bags - heavy food items travel inside milk carton at times. Just have to do it.

Hi, I use the non -slip mats in all my caravan drawers. Save's all the rub marks you will get over time.
I must be a bit different because I dont have any crockery that is glass. I use metal, stainless steel & melamine, which are all unbreakable. You can buy some really nice crockery in these choices. Also , we only carry limited amounts too. With only the two of us, a packet of disposable plates comes in handy.
Plus , I have 1 pot drawer that all our crockery stays in.
Cheers.

For glasses we use 50mm foam cutout to fit each glass Havent broken 1 yet Agree Melamine is the way to go to keep weight down.
