Hi Prickle
I have posted below a screen dump from Ozi, but if you can not read the details, here are the coordinates at the ferry site on the southern side of the Cooper.
S28 34 54.3360
E138 48 53.7480
The above are in WGS84
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Wayne
I see my named mentioned, so I better respond. Less than one kilometre from Etadunna Station heading north up the
Birdsville Track, you will come to the Detour sign and the new
Cooper Creek Ferry sign. Head out for around 34 kilometres and you will come to the ferry site. The GPS Coordinated and the track details are on the screen dump from Ozi with waypoint 10 the actual crossing point and here are another couple of photos.
Make sure that you head up there as it is
well worth the drive.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Wayne and Peterll
The Flood detour road is in first class condition, with graders and water carts working on both sides of the track. There were only a few bull dust patches not far from Etadunna, but by the way the Road Maintenance crews were working, they will be compacted and fixed very soon.
Peter, depending on your width, Rex Ellis took his OKA across 2 times with no problem at all, so if you are similar, you should have no problems.
Have a great trip.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Pete
It is not going to go away in a hurry, as even the ferry operators are talking of 8 months in use, so you still have time to plan your trip up there. Just make sure that you do get up there as we do not know when it will be like that again.
Cheers
Stephen

Stephen..wulp as I am doing some shopping for bits and pieces in PA right now I guess I will pass on your regards to the ferrymen tomorrow. Might even sit a spell and watch the vehicles going back and
forth..but then it is up to the pub and some work to do.
Have to get you up to the pub and buy you a beer for all the information you have been putting up on here. Come down my end of the bar...Phil charges people up the other end.

Hi Peter
Thanks for that. It was a bad move of me heading up there, as we enjoyed it so much, I am now contemplating cancelling my WA Desert trip and heading up that way again and spending more time on the Cooper, it was just that great.
Cheers

Hi Tour Boy
I have given Larry the ferry operator an EO stubbie holder to hang up from the ferry, so it would be interesting for future ferry visitors to see if it is hanging up, or if Larry used it himself.
Cheers

Hey Stephen, I noticed there was an Eo sticker there as well - as for the stubby holder, when we left it was still in Larry's pocket!!!!! There have been a few EO people through he was saying - that must be how the sticker got there.

Hi Ruth,
I hope that you had a good trip back to
Birdsville. I posted a few pictures late Monday Night while still unpacking. It was great to catch up with you again and please go ahead with the seed that I planted with you for next June.
We loved it so much up there that Fiona and I have decided to cancel our WA
Great Victoria Desert trip and are going up to the Cooper again. We will do a quick lap over the Simpson as part of the trip as well. If we can get to the same spot on the Cooper, we would love to stay a week there.
Speaking with Patsy this morning, Jason arrived
home last night in the dark. As he was in the truck, he had to go the long way
home. He still had not seen the water as yet, but was going for a look today.
Best Regards
Stephen and Fiona.
