Google Spring bar tents. Amazing. Pity we can't make tents like these in Oz for the
same sort of prices.

Nothing like an Oztent really. They are made of proper canvas, have a unique pitching system and are half the price. They are manufactured in Salt Lake City,Utah,U.SA.,by a company that has been making tents for over 60 years. The pricing is unbelievable, when you consider what Aussies are forking out for Chinese manufactured Oztents and Black Wolf Turbo's. An equivalent locally produced Southern Cross or Freedom tent would set you back $2000 or more. Why is nobody importing this and other quality products from anywhere but China? I just don't get it.

We've got a BlackWolf Tubo 240 with external stressed freestanding supports.. We're very happy with quality and how it goes up tout suite. Pricey tho....

We don't even peg it out, let alone guy it, unless it's windy as the weight of the bedding etc is sufficient to keep it in place.

How do you reckon they compare with the Springbar?

Cheers.

Prices look fairly similar to blackwolf turbo prices once you factor in currency conversion and gst - not to mention cost of importing them.

eg. family camper 7 is about the same size as a turbo 300 plus. After currency conversion and gst they are over $900 AUD. The blackwolf is a bit dearer but you get local support.

Just looking at the video there's a lot more setup involved than the blackwolf or oztent.
