Our Waeco CF50 freezes everything.
Wasn't a big deal on the big trip as it was so hot, except for the last couple of weeks.
Found an archived post:

Anyone further info?
How much to fix at a Waeco service place, or, better to try elsewhere?
Thanks!

Hi Ozwrangler, Asuming its not the emergency over ride switch, then it will be the thermistor thats faulty it can be checked , its resistance @ 25Deg C should be 10K ohms can be purchased from Waeco. Its also foamed in. Dont know what they charge to fit it. Daryl

Just a thought mate, I had that happen to my CF60.
I let it TOTALLY defrost overnight (disconnected from any power) and re started it the next day, that was 3 yeas ago now and no problem since.
I imagine you may have done that but just a heads up if you have not, Cheers Colin.
PS: Its all about the beer mate.

I got quoted $113 for the thermistor and fitting from one mob and $175 from another. I'm not certain that's the issue though and not keen to try to fix it myself so will have to wait and see (it is still in the
shop).
Should've bought an evakool ...
