Give Dave a call at Mt Dare, we went through about 6 weeks ago and the road was rough in places but drivable, Dave only just started to grade the road so it should be good.

Dave will be able to help you with the Oodnatdatta side or you can try Adam at Pinks Roadhouse.

Yes I can tell you and then they come through the Simpson and thoroughly enjoy themselves in Birdsville!

The road from Finke to New Crown is good.

From new Crown to Mt Dare recently graded.

Mt Dare to Dalhousie Springs runs through a gibber plain after the turn off 10ks from Mt Dare (watch out for the big one's) then varies from corrugations to washaways & sandy creek crossings.

The Pedirka track to Hamilton Station is closed, so you need to go back up to bloods creek then on to Hamilton & Oodna'

Out of interest, how long does it take to drive up from Oodnadatta to Dalhousie ? Heading up the Oodnadatta Track in August and considering a side trip to Dalhousie.

thanks
Iain
