G'day guys, can anyone tell me if you are allowed campfires at Dales campground in Karrijini??

Scott, definately no fires in Karajini, they had a bad bush fire up there some years ago which frightened the be-jesus out of the management up there to the point they had even banned the use of Cobb Cookers, if you are heading up there in the next couple of months, get a gas bottle heater and thick coats, you will need them at night. Thanks for the reply, and Bugger!! I was looking forward to a nice campfire with the camp oven cooking up a storm. Will be there in a week and a half so i'd better come up with a new menu. I heard they had fire pits at Dales but then read somewhere "no fires", hence me asking the question

Definitely no camp fires. Also don't park or run a generator in the spinaflex as that has the same result.
That country is highly flammable.

I was there is July 2009 and geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus it was cold......a campfire would've be good but definitely not allowed.
