Roadside stop at Newmerella west of Orbost

Hi,
For those travelling through East Gippsland this update may be helpful. Many overnighters have stayed at the roadside rest stop at Newmerella but recently "No Camping " signs were erected at the rest stop. This caused much concern as this is a very popular spot for passing travellers wanting an overnight stopping place.
However, it has come to light that the signs were erected in the wrong place and actually refer to the Newmerell RecreationReserve beside the roadside stop and not to the roadside stop itself. Plans are in place to relocate the signs but I'm not sure when this will be done.
