Hi Vernp,

I believe peak hour should be around 8.30am and 5.00pm every day so any travel outside these times should be ok lol.

Cheers Wilko

Are you worried about travelling alone - if so, don't worry you will have company especially as it is school holiday time. Maybe your query needs to be more specific - just trying to assist.

Yes I should of stated going with a group of 6 vehicles, just was trying to get some sort of Idea how many other groups might be crossing the same time as we are.
However since it's school holidays i am guessing a larger number considering the Simpson has not looking been open and then there is the ferry and all.

Ferry??? There is one for the Strez going up to birdsville but not in the desert is there. The traffic will also depend on which track you take. We found the WAA lite on traffic while the French line busier. just stick to channel 10 and transmit at the crest of each dune and make sure you have a sand flag

Yes, that's what I thought but didn't quite get the connection to the statement on how many people would be crossing the desert..Maybe a bit thick tonight, no offence meant at all to the OP

Vernp - Leave lots of tracks for me :-)

We will be crossing 23rd July - I suspect there should be a well worn track by then :-)

Cheers Tony
