Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to drive all or part of this road? If so are any permits required?

Cheers

I was there in January of this year, access is from Kalgoorlie to Haig. Beyond Haig is deemed a private road owned by the railways and no one is permitted to travel it. The section that is open is good wide 80kmh dirt with a few minor washouts and small corrugations in places but nothing to worry about. There are no permits required.

On the SA side public access is only as far west as the top of Googs track, just west of Kingoonyah.

Hi All,

As A former employee of the railways in S.A. if we seen unauthorised vehicles on the railway access roads we were supposed to report them as it's private property, not public access roads. If you had gates at the front and rear of your property would like the public using it as a street or access road ?
