They own the gear but plently of other isp's use it at a cost. The isp then charges the user but a damn site less than what Telstra does. You pay for uploads with telstra as
well.

we still have the prob if telstras exchanges go down so does other service providers.
Better the evil you know sort of bleep really. And having the phone/mobile & internet all with the one mob you get a discount.
Plus I can ring em up 3 in the morning to see what the hell is going on.
Service when it comes to call outs to fix probs has been good.
I had lightning blow my inline filter and modem, they were out here in 2 days replaced without any probs.
cheers

I'm on cable, speed can be blistering at times. Can have 1 meg down before my finger is off the mouse sometimes. Other times it takes a few seconds or if someone is running a steam powered server it may take 30 seconds.
Check out whirlpool for comparsion between the various isp'sMy Best Mates

No problem with dial-up...yeah I know....we live in the bush...no adsl here. Heard on the news that Telstra was giving everyone a two week credit for fouling up the email system. Ahhh the technological age....just as
well I have kero fired computer...
Cheers,
Willie
