Hi Everyone,

I have a Prado Grande - 05 model with the factory GPS unit. i have tried searching for a 3.5mm jack for an ipod that will go into the back of the head unit. The only thing I can find so far is an IPOD box that is over $400. Has anyone found a 3.5mm that will work with the factory Head unit?

thanks

toyota have a factory one, part no. is 8619053010, you have to plug a cable into the back of it which should be coiled up behind the sat nav unit

Paul
I dont know if this will apply to you, but here we go anyway !

Check your radio for a CD stacker, my tip is that if it's a Grande, it may have one anyway.
Somewhere in the back of the radio, or runnning into the stacker, there will be a connector lead. All you need is an adaptor, from the Ipod, to the radio

Simple as that ..
Then head off to ebay, and get the lead/adapter from ebay

try this link Ipod-radio connector

I did this and it cost me $25, and not the $$$$ Hundreds$$$$$, they are quoting you.

I did this and at present enjoy 3700 songs, on my 120Gig Ipod classic.

Cheers
