Good morning everyone

We are now in Rockhampton for 6 weeks and I need someone to fix an oil leak in the Troopy.

It is definitely comming from within the bell housing. Canyone recommend anyone?

I also need to get brakes put on the camper trailer, is there a place in rocky anyone can recommend?

Hillman Motors Pty Ltd
Motor Engineers & Repairers - Rockhampton, QLD
(07) 4927 2355
Address
204 Denison St, Rockhampton QLD 4700, Australia

They have a very good reputation in the CQ area, people from Gladstone travel there for them to work on their vehicles.

HTH

Cheers Kev

Thanks very much for giving a poor new south welshman some helpful advice.

Although I have been doing alright out of the origin series.

I back qld to win with my son for $10 and then have a bet with my qld mate for a bottle of wine,,,,,the wine costs me $2.50 at Dan Murphies,,, so I come out $7.50 ahead!

When I was living in Gladstone I had my injectors sent up to them for reconditioning as there is IMO no reliable operators in Gladstone.

Being a cockroach does have it's disabilities just ask Barry F hahahahahahah

Cheers Kev

CQ Caravans Google them. Why are you staying in Rocky. Yeppoon is much nicer if you can get in.

I needed to get a new clutch in Rocky last week. RACQ directed me to Highway Auto. They started on it same day (got there at 2 pm) and it was finished at 4 pm next day. Good job - reasonable price - nice guys.
While there I got in touch with an old mate who lived there for many years. Turns out he has moved to Broken Hill. He also recommended Highway Auto.

Hi everyone

I went to hillman motors and theyu directed me to Grant Jenkins.

The Troopy gets fixed on Monday.

It appears to be a bit more than just a small leak.

I mentioned that the revs were about 200 more than they normally are when sitting on a given speed towing the camper.

He thinks that the clutch may be getting oil on it, which he said is unusual.

Anyway I'll let you know next week.
