The Lightforce range of portable lighting systems are hard to beat but will be marginally dearer than other poducts. They offer 3 different kits, Walkabout, Enforcer and Nighthunter.

Try and get a look at the Lensor P7 torch. I just bought one and I am stunned at how powerful it is. It literally burns through the trees at my place. There are larger models, but the P7 will do me for my bouts of 'critter watching' in the bush.

I have had the P14 since January and I love it. Still going on first set of AA batteries and I use it a lot.

They make a headtorch that is amazing as well. the best I have seen.

No-one believes how good it is until they try it.

I bought one from Super cheap auto a few years ago and it is fantastic. 2 million candle power has a 12 volt charger and cost less than $50.

worth checking out what they have now
