Seems to be a problem with 2003 Diesel Turbo Patrols?
Mine and I have learned of many others have a problem with the oil pressure switch packing it in,
mine after 6000 klm's. Bit frightening driving with the oil light on as recommended by the dealers until parts obtained. I have had 3 weeks wait so far for the dealer to obtain parts from Japan - still waiting. Has enyone else experienced this problem with availability of parts?

very happy with the 3.0 turbo, not too happy at the moment with the dealers BS. Like to take your advise on the 4.2, cannot streatch the dollars. Maybe when I retire and Convince the wife to continue working.

At first there was denial that the switch was the problem, excuse was low on oil, I and the RACV both can read a dip stick to know the low and full marks. Seem the dipsticks are not all attached to engines.

Yeah.. 4.2... Hrmmm.. Not a nice donk if you want to get going quckly.
My 3.0 has 69,000K on it and not a single problem except for;
2 turbo chargers.
1 Computer.
1 VNC unit
The turbos were replaced due to the seals stuffing out in them an dumping a few cups of oil into the exhaust.
Nice and powerful, but it's going to take them a while to get the reliability in.
