Hi All
We are looking at going to Cobourg for a week or so soon, have been to the national
park before. Might not be able to get permits on such short notice but we will find out tomorrow. We have spoken to people in the past that have camped at some “other” great locations on the peninsular but cannot remember the names of the
places. They were privately owned so you had to pay. Can anyone give us the heads up on some of these spots?
Thanks Lyndon & Bernadette

Call Rubin Cooper from Wiligi outstation, on 08 8979 0069.
He can issue a permit on
the spot ( fax or email) the permit allows you to take alcohol with you, obviously with strict conditions.
It is an awesome place he charges $80 per day per car, take the boat the fishing off the islands or on
the beach is fantastic.
We went there last November.

Hi
Thanks for that, are there any facilities, bush
toilets or fresh washing
water? Don’t want to take the boat on this trip, much windier this time of year than November so the seas could be rough. Did you fish from
the beach and if so did you use a caste net? Can you give me an idea of where on the peninsula you are talking about?
Thanks
Lyndon

Hi Lyndon
The fishing of
the beach was good, we didn't use nets you would have to ask Rubin.
Basic
toilets and showers, you have to take your own
water.
Put these in Google Earth: 11 29' 42'' S 132 45' 00.37'' E

I have spoken to Rubin and we have booked in for a few days at the end of the month. What did you use for bait when fishing from
the beach? Thanks for the tips. Cheers Lyndon
