Rain often will cause a signal dropout if the dish is a small type - 65cm or less, or if the signal wasn't too strong to start with, eg not lined up perfectly.

Are your neighbours still receiving a signal? If so go have coffee with them & watch theirs til you can get out and fix yours. heh heh

55% is pretty low I think for an 80cm dish. I aim for at least 85% or better.

When you have as good as you can get by swinging the dish, lock it down then twist the LNB to get max signal for your location.

Glad you got a smile, my good deed done for today :-)

Stop the rain from getting on the face of the LNB cut a milk carton or the like to fit over and protect the face of the lnb, works for us.

I have had a dish for years and rain will always cut the signal when the LNB gets wet. If you cut up an old milk bottle and make a little shroud to keep the LNB dry you will have no more problems. Make sure it sits straight on the LNB and doesn't block the signal.
