Just upgraded to a new Prado 15 GX. Have been trying to get a 2nd spare organized on a steel rim but cannot find anyone who has one in the following size 17 inch x 6.5 inch that fits the new Prado.

Has anyone had a similar experience or have any clues as to where I might find one. Even a cheaper alloy would do. A new wheel from Toyota is $1,400.

The only thing that might do you any good is the 17 x 6 steel of the 120 series Prado, it should go straight on. The genuine part no. is 4261160420 and retails for $264. Give your local dealer a ring they might have an old one lying around or you might be able to beat them down in price.

Ring this number ...08 9493 0211. Peter from Tyre Wise, might just have one for you and a good tyre to fit the rim...or he will know where to get it.

William - went out to Tyre Wise on Saturday. Now that's an interesting place. He reckons he can can me a 16'' rim and put a bigger tyre on it to give me the same height as what I have now. Sounds logical to me. Might be enough to get me out of trouble anyway. Thanks your help. Harry
