On the way back from
Cape York and stopped in at
Laura (of
all places), to find a "Les Hiddins" special Hema map, "Bush Tucker Man Cape York". What makes it great after checking out our standard (falling apart) hema map is that this one is waterproof/tearproof and has bush tucker details on it as
well as interesting historical write-ups that we would not have known about otherwise.
Hopefully more of these maps come in this better material and colour schemes.
I couldn't find it in the EO
shop....maybe it might appear soon ;)

Doesn't surprise me that you would find the map at
Laura.
Les was/is a driving force behind the Vietnam Vets. 'chill out'
camp near
Kalpowar, and I think he spends a lot of time up the Cape area. !!

So you seriously would expect to find "that" map at
Laura? Hahaha, I was hoping to find an old
camp oven in the second hand/antique
shop at
Laura, but was out of luck. Nice town anyway.

Peter
