In the northern part. The Tanamai was also closed but should re-open soon if not already. We had the most rain ever recorded in Broome this year so every thing is out of wack. Call the Halls creek visitors centre, they will most likely know

Lizard,

Keep an eye on the Bureau of Met rainfall maps here so you can see where rain has fallen.

Cheers,

Just got off the CSR yesterday and i can confirm it is wet at the northern end. They had 6 inches of rain between well47 and Bililuna.

A grader is cutting detours around the worst of it at the moment but it shouldnt affect you in august. Russell and Robin pulled into the caravan park this morning and now i am not the only one with a dirty vehicle :) (ppl were staring at me)

yes the weather did get to the CSR
our group which left the EO gathering on 1 july arrived in Halls Creek on Sunday the 11th. we had fine weather the first 3 days and rain on and off for the next 8.first rain for us was well 19
we got to all wells except well 50 which was in a lake. boggiest bits were Beardon hills/well 48
last 150km before billiluna was mostly water
dunes were good due to rain corros only bad for about 50 km each side of well 33
all survived and have now gone our own ways post Halls creek.
. I am sitting in Broome having had to bypass tunnel creek and WindjarraGorge today as road is closed. Good news is Gibb river road is open we so head up that way on weekend.
cheers
