Hell's Gate road house

Hey buddy,

I think hells gate isnt any more than a campground at the moment.
Last time i was there it was pretty barren,,, but i am sure someone will have up to date info/....
Anyway i sit here at inskip point waiting till tomorrow so i can catch the ferry across to fraser island.
Then i am coming home via coopers ferry.
I have been away long enough...

Hi I was there at around the 12th of June this year. Yes it is open, the cost of fuel at the time was $1.98 for diesel, I think unleaded would be around the same price. You can also camp there.

Make sure you have cash, as they do not have credit cards or any type of cards.

hi "greendog" give us a ring at the Doomadgee Roadhouse and we will fill you in with any detail you need to know, we are 80klms away and keep in contact with them .......
At the moment they do have camping and fuel only, no stock due to bad wet this year, they dont have eftpos as they can not get it so cash only .........
Bill (the owner) is not well and they are doing the best they can so they need as much support as they can get, they will not do that well this year as the wet delayed them opening and we all know that it is a popular spot to stop and would be shame to see it close down as well (they also have the station)...
