I have some words to describe him... But they're not acceptable for a family forum, so i'll not say anything.

Cheers, Brad

A bloke I was talking to saw it on the news & said he knew the bloke. Use to call him "tail light because he wasn't bright enough to be a headlamp!!!" Didn't his momma ever sing that song to him...."Never smil at a crocodile cause you can't get friendly with a crocodile.......

Although the guy is an idiot and the Broome Crocodile Park is a dark tree lined place at night-spooky.It is a reflection on our society that a guy with an alcohol problem and not the full quid ends up like this. The story goes that he has been in Broome 3 weeks and has been in the lock up 5 times. I think that this guy needs serious help, he could have got behind the wheel of a car and had a dream about crocodiles or whatever and killed someone. Still you can only imagine what was going through the crocodiles mind- midnight snack already!

Cheers

The sad comment on our society is this;

This guy was drunk enough to climb on the back of a 5m croc and when he returns bleeding to the pub they sell him more alcohol.

Is that responsible, I think not.

If it is true that he has been locked up repeatedly after arriving in town how many other pubs are breaching their duty of care by serving this guy long after he is drunk enough to be doing himself serious harm.

Sorry but that is just wrong

Duncs

You are right Duncs. The Divers Tavern is a good pub and very profitable (without looking at the books) but if a guy has had a skin full at their establishment and is too drunk they turf him out.... problem solved, let society and the taxpayer take care of it. There is something wrong. He will do something that lands him in jail and the problem will be solved for a period, but will it?

Cheers

Hi Duncs, Yes I suppose a few of us have had a laugh at this fellow's antics however there are many like him & if you are free over the next few Fri,Sat & Sundays I'll take you for a tour of numerous Pubs & clubs to witness first hand how people are still served alcohol well after they are beyond capable reasoning. These Licensed premises then set them loose onto society & we all read the headlines in the papers about domestic violence, street brawls, fatal collisions etc.....Who's fault is it......the individual who couldn't really give a continental because all he/she cares about to a certain extent is themselves. We all should have the courage to stand by our convictions....if you feel the effects of Alcohol STOP....don't binge drink & get rotten drunk just because you can. This fellow has a learning or some type of mental disorder & would be very hard (actually impossible) to assess through his alcoholic presentation to medical practitioners.....however if there is a Mental Health Act in W Aust & there is a section where the Police can arrest him....he should be held for Psychiatric assessment.....he is a danger to himself & others IMHO

The media are still talking about it an interviewing him - making him some sort of a folk hero. The press have a lot to answer for.

""I know they're dangerous animals and stuff – but people, don't they go and hand feed them in the pens?" Mr Newman said.

"I was thinking if someone else could go up and hand feed them, I could go up and pat them – but unfortunately they move so fast. I thought it was a slow creature and stupid, but they're quick.""

Suspect there was only one slow & stupid creature in the pen - and it wasn't a reptile.

The bloke's obviously got a disability and I am offended by a lot of the above comments.

He needs help, not cheap shots by gutless internet jockeys.

Saw him being interviewed on TV

From the way he looked and spoke I think he was on holiday the day they dished out brains..

I do however agree about the pubs still serving them while they have the money.. As Tom Cruise so famously said

"SHOW ME THE MONEY"

Thats all that matters to some.
