help needed battery monitor

I have a opposite lock dual battery monitor hooked up main batt. in No.1 LED shows 100% but does not show the rate of charge it is recieving no green charge led bars. Have not hooked up batt No. 2 as yet may I have to have both wired up to work correctly unsure ????..

I have one. It has 2 pairs of wires, one pair go to the pos & neg of battery 1 and the other pair to the pos & neg of battery 2..They work independently of each other. So long as you have the pos & neg to the correct terminals it should show the charge rate as soon as you start the car.
Mind you I had 3 fail in a very short time..Opposite Lock replaced them and the one I have now has been in the car for about 5 years.

All is now good just had to wait till glow plugs turned off then shows charge rate just a little hasty thanks.
