Hi,
Was hoping to get my hands on the above in either
Cairns or anywhere else along the way to
Coen for a trip to the cape.... I will want it from around 21 August for a week and am willing to pay $$$ - happy to negotiate
OR
is there somewhere I can rent an outfit?

Couldn't resist it. I have a warped sense of humour. Hopefully someone with local knowledge can at least come up with a hirer outlet. I assume you want to do some fishing, if so that's real serious business and warrants pulling out all stops.

Ha, yes quite a resounding NO... come on guys, think of the new bait caster you'll be able to buy.... $$$ negotiable.... I'll treat it with love, only to be used in inland lagoons....
I am assuming there is no hire outlet that can do this

You can hire boats at
Bamaga and
Weipa - that might save the trouble of towing.
Also guided fishing tours, go out with the guys with local knowledge. Especially if you have to fit it into a week.
