Can any of the Forum Members living in the Perth Area suggest somewhere where I can store my Troopy and Ultimate Camper when i am overseas. Preferably I would like to store it somewhere where it could be looked after properly rather than just locked in a storage facility. Does not have to be indoors but if indoors would need power for a charger to maintain the batterys.

I am based in Indonesia and fly in and out from Perth. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Dick

You could check - Ken Peachey Caravan Repairs based at 194 Campbell St - not far from the airports. Phone 9277-1381.

When our van was in late last year we enquired about the volume of vans in his yard, and he mentioned some were 'in storage'. Regulars get priority if the yard gets full.

Perth airport is expensive, my husband uses it for his car as he does FIFO work from Perth as well. I don't know the exact amount but something like $86 a week I think.

I haven't lived in Perth for a while now but I used to use a large storage facility down in Fremantle; not far from the Holden sales yard. Huge old warehouse but very cheap. Doubt you will get power but why not disconnect them?

You can leave them in our carport as long as we can hitch the camper up to our patrol and take it for a holiday? ;)

Cheers,

Jason.

Coromal caravans at Canningvale advertise storage for vans around $20 week.

Thanks to all the Forum members who replied, much appreciated.
Apologies for the slow reply, I have been travelling.

A Forum member has offered to allow me to park on his property which is within a reasonable driving distance of Perth so my problem is solved.

Thanks again.

Dick
