Dear all

anyone out there bought one of these C/T?

they sell for about 6K-7K. However they don't look too robust to me.
Would love to hear from some owners.

I seen one at a recent Off Road Show. Looked ok to me. Note the Tent (Floor Area) is small compared to most. The wind up winch for folding the floor back seemed to work ok
Also don't expect it to go for the price listed as the starting price on E Bay it will be dearer then that.

Cheers

Such a comprehensive advert but not one mention of steak knives - oh, and they are so shy that they didn't what to say who they are - I don't recall seeing any of the 5000 units they have now sold, on the road - oh and all that hardware and workmanship plus hot dip galv for $6-7000 - how do they do it ? :-o)

Darian...dont you know anything ...lol
they say "hot dip galvanized finish"
its only a finish that looks like its been hot dipped...

but I'm with you...noway can it be hot dipped in a galv bath .....the tubing is most likely gal tube plus which often leads one to think thats its been hot dipped after fabrication

I'd get sick of smacking my head on the support pole as I walked through the door.

Also odd that for all their positive feedback, none is regarding a camper.

I'd be more likely bashing my head on the wall over the money I parted with on a phantom trailer, NO WAY would I transfer money on Ebay crap, too risky.

Geez, it looks the goods. But i do remember someone on here who drove from Adelaide down to Melbourne to pick a camper trailer up, that fits the description of those, and it was rubbish. Very poor finish, not galvanized properly etc etc. May not be the same mob but looks like it. Would need to inspect it for yourself i reckon, and see how much would need modifying.

GIC campers are doing a deal at the moment, $5500 with $800 extra gear thrown in. It was on the latest 4wd action DVD. Worth $6700 or something

We bought a cheapie from market direct campers who sell on e-bay. The trailer was pretty rough but the tent was ok, but that's what you get for $3700.

We used it for twelve months without any problems but I wouldn't go too far off road with the original trailer.

For a "4x4 off-road" camper that paintwork would last a whole 5 minutes.

I sent an email to these people asking where the canvas was from as I had bought a similar camper a few years back and looked identical to the camper tent that was ontop of my trailer (all bought brand new) was a heap of crap sold it 12 months later before I lost any more $$$ on it, would not have lasted the distance. Anyway this was the reply I got back from him >>>>>>>>

Dear hsv1968,

hi there,

The parts for the trailers are imported from China, and are fully built and assembled in Melbourne, Australia. The canvas is not see through, even they are light-proof. if you have an idea to pickup, the best way is to visit our warehouse in Melbourne(before buying). you can examine all the parts, we will show you the canvas. so that you will get an idea before buying the product and you can make your decision.

We work on Monday-Friday from 10.00am - 5.00pm.
for inspection you need to come to the following address,

2/9-11 Murdock street
Clayton South,
Victoria-3169.

Please call Allen on 0402502288 to organize your inspection time.>>>>>>>>

Not saying that this is the same manufacturer as where myn was made (some where in China) and maybe is better quality ?? Leave the decision up to you. Regards Steve M

Where will you get something better than that for $7K?
Their claim that it is an "offroad trailer" is a bit of a stretch, looks more like a heavy duty on road trailer to me.

Still,if you dont have $30k for a top of the range job, this will do fine for the school holidays until the kids are too big.

For around $7500k I think it's great value especially for someone thats not going to bash the thing around. At that price it's hard to go wrong. If it were me I would be visiting them to check the thing out before I bought it. If anyone is serious they are only around the corner from my office, I would be happy to drop in and have a look.

I was expecting to see one of those basic budget $10k type camping trailers but that certainly does look feature packed and impressive especially for the price....got to love China!
What's that strap at the front? To pull it shut or something?
