hollow camping kettle

Hi Guys, we are trying to locate and buy a kettle for a quick boil using flame through the centre of the kettle...hollow flue. Don't know what it is called but have seen them on camping shows on TV. Any advice would be appreciated as to where and how much.

Have one of those eco kettles as per Kevs link, fantastic. Also there is one called a "thermette" very similar but made of copper. I would go for the eco kettle as it doesn't need the tray on the base, one less thing to cart around.

Stumpytwo,
If you have a look at the latest Sporting Shooters Australia magazine they have two different sizes advertised towards the back of the mag.

The free ones sound good, but what is wrong with half a litre in the billy on the
$20 gas stove. Some prices I have seen seem a bloody dear option for a couple
of cups of boiling water. I must maintain my image as a tight old f**t..:)))).

Hi Oldbaz,
Yes I can understand your point of view one needs to maintain ones' image y'know!
So I will think of your when I am boiling my cuppa on 2 twigs and a twitch of dry grass,..... now all I have to do is get one for a little less than the cost of a stove and a gas bottle (full)!
cheers
