We left Tassie 10 days ago with our Pajero and Jayco campertrailer and our 2 year old son. We are leaving
airlie beach tomorrow working our way slowly north and hoping to catch up with other people with kids doing a similar trip. Although we are having a ball on our own, it would be great to meet other
young travellers along the way! We have been mixing up caravan parks and
free camping which has worked really
well so far.
Any suggestions for good camping and/or fishing spots between Airlie and
cooktown?

I am a bit ahead of you. I especially enjoyed Carmila Beach , south of
Sarina. It is on
the beach and is a
free camp. Wonderful for children.
I am a bit ahead of you but have a look at
the blog I am doing. It may give you some ideas. Might see you around the area.
Cheers
Duncan

We stayed at camilla beach 3 nights ago...it would have been a brilliant spot if the tide didn't go out so far! We are going to stop there again on the way back though. Thanks for that will have a look at your blog now!
