Hi to all ! I'm a new member and seeking information about the EOTrackMe. We are heading to Rudall River in August and wanted to set up EOTrackMe so our children can follow our trip. Does anyone know of costs involved. Eg: Extra charges to your account, will be using Blackberry Pearl Telstra Next G phone.

Lewis,
Have a look in the members menu and select the EOTrackMe option. If using the blackberry download the beGPS program - just use the trial version till Monday as we are now a reseller of the program and you will be able to purchase the license code from us for $9.95. This cost is for the device software there are no other costs for members to use one device on EOTrackMe.

At this stage, plan to enter from the West or South West, not sure which yet, about the 1st Sept, just checked dates. Leaving via Cotton
Creek to the David Carnegie Highway, don't think we will meet......... Have a great trip. John

I have my doubts you will get Next G reception out that way, unless you're near Telfer.

It will add data charges to your next G account but you will only have live tracking if you have Telstra Next G phone coverage, For remote areas you will need to purchase a SPOT messenger which add tracking functionality via satellite, (can get Version 1 for around $100 with rebate plus reasonable annual subscription fee ) Very good investment if you are travelling in remote areas as they have the SOS call function with similare results to pushing an EPIRB button.

On our recent trip I used a 'Spot' tracking device which works off satellites, worked perfectly!
