Does it enable the aerial to work in vertical polarity areas.
This is the biggest problem with a Winguard aerial
It simply doesnt work and there are a lot of them in smaller towns.
Best reason to buy a satellite setup.

We put one on our Winegard aerial, immediately got two more channels from the local transmitter that needed Vertical polarisation. Didn't do any good at
Silverton, got no digital at all, only two fuzzy analogue.
At
Broken Hill, all channels now but has to be more directional. We first looked at the angle of the other van aerials to get the beam position but we were 180 deg. away and didn't get all the digital commercials until we worked this out and spun the aerial to a point in the opposite direction.
We think that we get a better clearer picture but admit that we are yet to try it out at more fringe sites and try to compare with the same Winegard without the Wingman.
