Hi Duane
We travelled the Buchanan/Buntine/Duncan Rd in late May of this year. Last 50k into
Halls creek was pretty ordinary but not as bad as the report given to us by the bossman at Kalkarindji.
Cheers
Howard.

Hi Duane, we were there 2 weeks ago. Went in via the Buntine from Kalkarintji community. Fantastic spot but i would suggest a
camp a Sawpit
Gorge, just a few k's from
Palm Springs. The Buntine was pretty messed up because of unseasonal rain when we were there and it was hard going sometimes in low range just to get through but
well worth it. Of the month long trip we did, that was one of the best spots we camped at. Cant give you a dry road condition report but apart from some minor corrugations (compared to the Sandy Blight Jct Road ALL corrugations are minor lol) the road would be fine. There is a fantastic creek at Sawpit that offers a chance for a scrub and a dip. Let me know if you want any further info.
Tony

Absolutely worth it mate. no we weren't towing anything but there was another couple there that were towing a Kimberly Kamper with a Toyo Cruiser V8 Diesel ute and they had no problems at all.
