Hi
I'm looking for some advice in relation to the wheels on my BT50, dual cab with fibreglass canopy, I wish to use 16inch wheels rather than the 15inch supplied. Is this OK? And if so, is there anything I should be aware of?
Best regards

I take it you have the DX model. I have the SDX model and it comes standard with 16'' wheels. Shouldnt be any hassles at all, apart from tyres costing more.

The diff ratio is different between the models that have 15 ¨ and 16¨ wheels. Check the Mazda website. Performance, speedo, and distance travelled would all be affected somewhat.

Thanks, That's what concerns me! I'll follow up on the Mazda website although they give very little info.

The 16inch wheels should be fine, depending on what tyre size you choose. I'm running 15inch rims with 31x10.5R15 tyres which just fit (also have a 2" lift via suspension upgrade). With these tyres the speedo reads exactly right (is 5% out with the standard tyres).
Cheers,
Geoff

I believe if you check your tyre chart on the door style it states you can use either 15in or 16in on the Mazda. This has been the case even with the older Mazda bravos.
