Hi all,
I have 3 door Pinin (super select, 1.8 GDI engine) 4 brand new winter tyres (Conti Winter Contact 4x4) on. Do you have some experience about the noises coming from under the car. When shifting 1 and 2 gear and engine break i can hear from middle or rear section a tat under the floor. The spider was checked, it's ok, the rear defferential was ok too. The hungarian official mechanics haven't opinion but they say that normal noise every Pinin, L200, Pajero. I don't believe it.
Can I get some advise, remark from you?

Auto.

This model is not sold in Australia but it is probably the same drive line as ours.
There is a rubber bush attached to the side of the transfer case, it's purpose is to stabilize the transfer case, may be that it is damaged. Eric.

Hi Erik!
The drive line same and i will to check the condition of this rubber bush.
I hope that to wrap the problem up with change and nothing serious inside the transfer case or house of differential. Thanx

Also check the action of the slave cylinder, make sure it returns smoothly and is not hanging up.
Other things to check are the release lever/fork ( if it is not returning smoothly remove the dust boot and check the pivot isn't dry or worn).
I believe this noise can also be caused by a broken pressure plate spring.
