Good day all I have a Ford
ranger XLT Auto D/Cab 1600km on the clock when reversing or going foward 1000rpm get a stutter/shudder like letting clutch out on a manual to fast I thought very odd for a auto gearbox very simular feeling when trying to start off with the gear lever in third gear anyone else had this problem going back ford soon to me feels like a tailshaft problem but then again through out driving gear and rev range no problem may be gears slipping in auto box,
Thanks for your replys.

Navara,
I have had experience with a
Ranger that shuddered heaps at take off.
It was caused by the tailshaft centre bearing mount being too high causing too big an angle in the tail shaft.
Ford (Maxda) have a fix where they fit a spacer block between the chassis and centre bearing to lower it and reduce the shaft angle.
Hope this helps.
Ian
